Description:

LM Cases Super Duty trunks are designed for the most demanding applications. Each trunk in the series is built from ¾” Baltic Birch plywood. Each panel is joined using a glue dowel and a lag screw. The dowels used are a very tight tolerance which requires a special press to join the panels. Lag screws are used as a secondary method of joinery for redundancy. The case bottom is 1.5” thick for additional support. A recessed hand slot is provided to aid in opening and closing the case lid.

We refer to the hardware in this series as “double recessed”. Each piece of hardware features a routed channel that contours the mounting flange. This double recess allows the screws used to attach hardware to recess and not cause interference. The double recess applies to the case’s hinge, latches, handles and stacking caster wells.

The hardware set is black and includes MOL latches which retract and extend while turning the handle, deep recessed caster wells that precisely fit with cases in the series for a durable interlock, 4 deep recessed handles, corner guards and flat triangle corners. The case rides on HD 4” x 2” Colson casters. A removable center divider is included to split the case in half to create 2 – 21” wide compartments.
