I've had my Coles 4038 for over 20 years and the original case's foam had long since disintegrated so much that it became a hazard to the microphone. The replacement cases available from Coles are just the same as the original but with an ugly yellow logo painted on it. And they charge you for the replacement!
I've used Pelican cases for my instruments for decades and they are the best. The added benefit is that you don't have to remove the mic stand adapter when putting it in the case like the original box requires. The only miss is there's no place for the Coles Allen wrench. I can put it underneath those two finger holes and all is well.
This one is expensive, but for a microphone this good (and that expensive), it's a worth while investment.
